Get Involved!

Please stop by the "Club Rush" tables set up on the campus green on Wednesday, September 2 (10-1). Which of the organizations/activities represented at the Fair interests you the most?

Bonus: which organization offered the best "freebies"?

No chance to visit the Fair? Well, you can do the next best thing: look at the on-line list of student clubs on the NSU web site (see the drop down menu when you scroll over the "Clubs" link in the left-hand sidebar on this page: http://www.northern.edu/sil/pages/default.aspx). No free food, but you can earn your extra credit (one whole point!) by commenting here on the organization that looks most interesting to you.

  1. I went to the club rush right after class and I looked at all the clubs the one that handed out cupcakes had the best snack. I signed up for one club and that was chess club because I love chess. I brought my board from home when I came to NSU.

  3. I came late to the club activities at 1240 so I didn't get to see everything but it all seemed interesting enough with all the clubs I might of wanted to join. Eventually I was forced into the rugby club but I don't think that's something I would do due to the conflicting nature of my training schedule and long term goals. -Jeff Hyke

  4. My personal favorite was the Speech and Debate Club. However, the most interesting club I came across was definitely the Mage Club. The Mage Club is basically a club dedicated to all forms of fandoms and nerdiness.
Bonus: The Cab Club offered the best candy and drinks .

  5. My roommate got me to sign up for the German club, so I am really excited for that. It looks like maybe I could learn a few words as well. Rugby also looked really interesting honestly. I liked that CAB was giving out popcorn, I was starving that day.

  6. Today I when to the Constitution day speech. It was about Lincoln and how he used moderation to free the slaves. I was ok with there being no bagels because I ate right before going there.

  7. Today I when to the Faculty Recital. It was a spectacular musical performance. Because I am in Briscoe I hear a lot about the music staff. May of the people I was with got a way better understanding of the music and when we talked about it many things went over my head. My favorite son was "Concert Piece No. 2 in D minor, op.114". I have heard many good things about LaFave and was surprised he only played once. I can't say I have heard anything bad about him, and he proved that with the way he played tonight.
